Flickmoji Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 13, 2026
Flickmoji: Guess the Movie ("Flickmoji," "the app") is made by Marge Games, a brand of Hedyverse, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). We built Flickmoji to collect as little information as possible: the app has no Hedyverse accounts, we do not operate our own game servers, and we never sell your personal information. This policy covers Flickmoji on iOS and Android and explains what happens with your data when you play.
1. What Stays on Your Device
Almost everything. Your level progress, best scores, star ratings, streaks, ticket (coin) balance, chosen mascot, badges, display name, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this information to any server of ours, and we cannot see it. Removing the app or clearing its storage removes the local copy. On Android, system backup or device transfer may retain or restore app data according to your device and Google backup settings; manage those copies separately.
2. Global Leaderboards & Achievements (Optional)
On iOS: Flickmoji's Global, Weekly, and Friends leaderboards and its achievements are powered by Apple Game Center, a service operated by Apple. Leaderboards are strictly optional and off by default:
- Your scores are submitted to Game Center only after you choose "Join the Board" in the Leaderboards screen (or turn leaderboards on in the app's Settings).
- When you join, your best scores and your Game Center player name are sent to Apple's Game Center so rankings can be shown to you and other players.
- You can stop score submissions at any time with the Leaderboards toggle in the app's Settings. You can manage or disable Game Center itself, including who can see your profile, in iOS Settings → Games (Game Center).
Game Center data is processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store this data on any Marge Games system.
On Android (version 1.0.1 and later): Flickmoji does not include Google Play Games sign-in or online rankings. Scores, display names, and achievement badges stay on your device, subject to your Android backup settings. The earlier internal test build used optional Google Play Games; anyone who used that build can manage or delete its game data through Google Play Games.
3. Optional Rewarded Ads (Google AdMob)
Flickmoji has no banner ads and no forced ads. The only advertising in the app is a single, optional rewarded video in the Shop (the once-a-day "free tickets" offer) that plays only when you tap it. This feature is powered by Google AdMob. For advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, the Google Mobile Ads SDK included in the app may collect and process data such as your device or account identifiers, IP address (which may indicate approximate location), ad interactions, and diagnostics (for example, whether an ad was viewed). This processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy; you can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
On Android, after applicable privacy choices permit an ad request, the advertising SDK may initialize and preload an ad before you tap the optional video. Watching the video is always your choice. Use the app's Ad privacy options when available to review or change consent, and your Android device's advertising privacy settings to manage advertising identifiers. Google Mobile Ads encrypts its transmitted data using HTTPS.
On iOS, you can limit ad personalization on your device in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising and via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
4. In-App Purchases
Ticket packs and other in-app purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account on iOS, or Google Play on Android. We never see or store your payment details. On iOS, purchase receipts are validated on-device through Apple's StoreKit. On Android, the app checks Google's signed purchase data on-device and stores purchase tokens locally to avoid granting the same ticket pack twice; Google Play processes purchase and consumption requests. Refunds and purchase history are handled by the store where you purchased.
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Flickmoji schedules local reminders (like the Daily Flick) on your device. These are not sent from a server, and no notification data leaves your device. You can turn them off anytime in your device notification settings. When you choose to share a result, your device share sheet sends the result to the app or recipient you select.
6. What We Don't Do
- We do not require or offer Hedyverse accounts or request your email or contacts for gameplay. Optional Apple Game Center features on iOS use Apple accounts and player profiles. The Android public release does not require an app account.
- We don't operate our own analytics, and we don't sell or share your personal information for money.
- We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Flickmoji is a general-audience app; if you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, contact us and we will help address it.
7. Your Choices & Data Deletion
- Leaderboards: opt out anytime in the app's Settings; manage Game Center data with Apple (iOS Settings → Games, or privacy.apple.com).
- Ads: the rewarded ad only runs when you choose to watch it; manage ad privacy in iOS Settings as described above, or review Google's controls at myadcenter.google.com.
- Earlier Android test build: if you used Google Play Games in the internal test build, manage your profile and delete that game data through Google's controls. The Android public release does not submit ranking data.
- Android ads: review consent through Ad privacy options when available and manage advertising identifiers in Android settings.
- Local data: clear app storage or delete the app to remove the local copy of progress. Manage Android backups separately to prevent restoration. Apple and Google retain data they process under their own policies and controls.
- Questions or requests: email us at liam@hedyverse.com and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we change what Flickmoji collects or how it works, we'll update this policy and the effective date above before the change ships. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.
